Hello from Emily in Asia! Considering this is my 3rd continent ever (2 new continents in 3 months) I like to think I adjusted well. I flew from Amsterdam to Malaysia, then to Phuket (15 hours of traveling), landing at 9am I was in for a full day of surprises. Unfortunately Drew was sick when I arrived but Aaron did a great job of showing me around for my first day. The dogs were my favorite because they weren't owned by anyone but they knew how to get around town without a problem or owner (unlike my dog Koda). This was my first day in Asia and once I got used to the foreign language, the cockroaches, and the rats, I was instantly in love with what I saw in the town of Patong. The following are my favorite pictures in my 6 days in Thailand!
This is our snorkleing trip to Phi Phi island which I almost decided to skip out on...
This picture is some amazing photography taken by Aaron at Maya Bay, he did a really nice job of cutting out the other 1,000 tourists :)
This lovely photo is taken in the biggest bar I have ever seen called Tiger Bar, I think it was 30 bars in one...
This is where I saw my first rat beside NYC at a local night market with amazing food
We left Phuket for a quick trip to Bangkok, this is our first night with a midnight dinner at an omelet food cart, pick all you want for 1 price.... my kind of place :)
The night ended up with us in one of the most famous clubs in Bangkok.... this led to the infamous title "That's what you get for waking up in Bangkok"
A nice photo of Drew and I in the "quiet" party at DJ station
The sunset from our Bangkok pool (when I woke up at 5pm) the fololwing day
Back at it (cheapest way to drink beer) in the local 7-11 with 6' 2" ceilings, it was the nearest shop in town with air conditioning
We ended up at DJ station since it was so much fun the night before
Emily and Aaron having a dance off...
And the story continues as we traveled to Vietnam to add a 4th member to our party of 3, and to experience a whole new country! I couldn't have even imagined Asia being any better than it has been so far...
I love this story!!! I just love saying that Emily went to Phuket!
